Effective July 1, 2018, Dr. Robert Dooley, Interim Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, will return to his position as Dean of the College of Business. I hope you will join me in thanking him for his service in the provost role during the past six months. It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. George Hynd, Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has agreed to serve as Interim Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In addition, we plan to appoint Dr. Joe Wilferth to serve a two-year appointment as Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences beginning July 1, 2018. A national search for a Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs will be initiated this fall. The search for a permanent Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will be conducted in the 2019-2020 academic year. |
