29-year old Sayfullo Saipov reportedly rented a Home Depot truck, and used it to plow through a crowd along a bike path. He then jumped out of the truck, yelled a religious saying, and tried to run.
The rampage ended when a police officer shot Saipov in the abdomen. Saipov killed eight people, and injured twelve more.
