Chatta-do-ga – Week of November 3, 2017

The God of Thunder is back in theaters!

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters today. Ratings are overall positive so far, but you can head on over to our Facebook page to see where our Jake Taylor has to say about the movie.

Want to party at a unique place? Sculpture Fields at Montague Park will host Party at the Park from 8-11 P.M. on Friday night. Guests can enjoy drinks, dancing, light shows, music from DJ 1900, and the Chattanooga underground electric music scene. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door.

This weekend, you will see paddles hit the water for the annual Head of the Hooch Regatta. Boats will hit the water at 8 A.M. on Saturday morning, and spectators can view the action from several locations along the Tennessee River. The race will feature more than 2,000 boats, and competitors will row 3.1 mile courses that end at Ross’s Landing.

If art, music, unique vendors, games, and more are your thing, head on over to the 15th annual Normal Palooza. It benefits Normal Park Museum Magnet School. Admission is free, and be sure to stop by to support local education.

What would a weekend be without a trip to The Chattanooga Market? This week, vendors will offer a variety of chili, ranging from hot to mild, and traditional to weird. You can also expect to see chili dogs, chili burgers, Frito pies, and much more!

That will do it for Chatta-do-ga, and we will see you next week!
