You could see the damage in North Chattanooga Friday.
A tree trimming company was cutting up a large tree in between two houses. Workers were using a crane to remove a log from one side of the house to the other. Instead, the crane tipped over, damaging two homes. No one was injured.
Officers detoured traffic from Carroll Lane to Mississippi while two other cranes were brought in to remove the flipped crane. EPB turned off power in the area while the operation was underway. Tarps were placed on the roofs of the two houses, and traffic reopened on Barton Avenue.
Both houses have been condemned due to the structural damage caused by the crane.
