Two NCAA champions were crowned this week, but the games could not have been any more different.
After defeating UCONN in a monumental upset, Notre Dame’s women took down Mississippi State on a buzzer-beater with a win 61-58.
On the men’s side, Villanova cruised past Michigan in a blowout victory. The victory was keyed by Villanova’s Donte DiVincenzo, who had the night of his life, scoring 31 points in the rout. Villanova finished the game 79-62.
Other highlights from the tournament included the university of Maryland Baltimore County’s huge win against the University of Virginia. The #16 seed upset the #1 seed Virginia on March 16.
