Bad weather didn’t stop the taps project on the University of Tennessee Chattanooga campus.
This is the third year for the project meant to honor veterans and their service.
Volunteers play trumpet in various places on our campus…. one after another. Their coordinated performance results in a haunting moment that causes people listening to stop, remember and honor those who served.
The route started at Fine Arts through EMCS, Grote, the Lupton Parking Garage, outside Starbucks then winding up Oak Street various until it ended with the final rendition inside Patten Chapel.
Then a brief ceremony took place honoring the five University of Chattanooga students who died in World War I.
