UTC Library Hours Announced

Hello Campus Colleagues,

I write to bring you up to date on plans for the next couple of weeks as it relates to the Library.   Please know these plans are still evolving.   

Our goal is to provide essential services and resources to faculty, students, and staff, while keeping Library staff members safe with respect to large groups, social distancing, and the like.

Hours

Effective Saturday March 14^th, the Library building hours are:

• Monday to Thursday      –              7:45am to 9pm
• Friday                                    –              7:45am to 5pm
• Saturday                              –              9am to 5pm
• Sunday                                 –              Noon to 9pm

Access

• The Library will only be open to current UTC faculty, staff, and students.
• Only the 1^st floor of the Library will be open.

Services and Collections

• The Library is the process of moving the majority of Library services online, creating an abbreviated easy to use web site, and providing streamlined access to online materials.  A full list of services is forthcoming in the week ahead.

Course Conversions

Faculty friends, if you need any assistance with converting materials to online form, please drop us a quick email at library@utc.edu or follow-up with a known library colleague.  We can help with Camtasia, voice-over PowerPoints, creating online course assignments, scanning and/or converting most materials to digital form, and more.  We will connect you with an available Library colleague with expertise (or at least familiarity) with your need.
