All Classes and Activities are Cancelled Monday

UTC Community:

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the Chattanooga / Hamilton County area from 12:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Monday, January 26, 2026, and again from 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, through 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Very cold wind chills are expected. Use caution when outdoors and wear appropriate cold-weather clothing. Slick conditions are possible overnight and Monday morning, with patches of freezing rain or drizzle possible this evening. Water remaining on sidewalks, parking lots, and roadways is likely to freeze overnight as temperatures drop.

The safety of the University community remains our top priority. While campus and downtown Chattanooga are generally clear, outlying areas and higher elevations are expected to continue experiencing hazardous conditions. Out of an abundance of caution, the University will modify campus operations during this weather event.
