Trump Cuts Subsidies to Health Insurance Companies

In the latest in the health care debate, President Trump cut subsidies to health insurance companies last week.

Senators Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Patty Murray of Washington have been working on a bipartisan solution for Trump’s executive order.

Alexander and Murray’s solution would extend subsidies for two years and give states more flexibility to design their own plans.

Senators and governors are hopeful and are encouraging President Trump to back the solution.
