2018 Winter Olympics Recap for Week of February 23

The U.S. Women’s hockey team shocked the world on Wednesday as they won 3-to-2 and ended Canada’s run of four straight gold medals in the sport. This is the first U.S. Women’s hockey gold medal in 20 years.

The good times continued to roll as the U.S. Women’s cross-country skiing team won their first ever medal, and it was gold. It was a big victory for the united states, as they defeated  powerhouses like Sweden and Norway.

In men’s half-pipe skiing, champion David Wise defended his crown and won gold for USA.

USA has now won eight gold, seven silver, and six bronze medals, for a total of 21 medals in all.
