ReSearch Dialogues Canceled

From Lisa Piazza, Director, Office for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor(URaCE)

Dear UTC Community,

Due to ongoing circumstances related to the COVID-19 situation in the United States, and the recent UTC directive regarding large campus events, The Office for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor (URaCE) regrets to announce that the 2020 ReSEARCH Dialogues Conference, scheduled for April 14th and 15th, has been cancelled.  The health and safety of our community is the most important priority at this time.  We would like to thank the nearly 700 students, faculty, staff, and community members who registered to present their projects at ReSEARCH Dialogues this year.  We also express our deepest gratitude to the entire UTC community and to our local partners for their continued support of this event.

Though the conference has been cancelled, it is critical that we recognize all of the research and creative work taking place at UTC. Thus, we recently published the full conference agenda( which includes presenters, co-presenters, and project titles) on the ReSEARCH Dialogues website.  In addition, we are in the process of working with the UTC Library to archive project abstracts in UTC Scholar. Please contact the RD 2020 team to learn more.

Finally, RD 2020 swag will soon be available for all conference participants. We will be in touch with conference presenters, pitch competitors and judges, session moderators, and volunteers to arrange for pick-up of these items.

Once again, thank you for your continued support, and your dedication to the research enterprise at UTC.

Please stay safe and healthy, and we will see you at next year’s conference.

Sincerely,

Lisa M. Piazza, Ph.D.

Director, Office for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor(URaCE)
