WASHINGTON, D.C. (mocsnews.com) – Self-described Democratic Socialist, Bernie Sanders, urges Joe Biden to reach out to minority voters. Sanders warns that Biden may be at risk of losing in November if he fails to promote his policies.

On Sunday, Sanders went on MSNBC to talk about his concerns with Biden’s campaign. The Vermont Senator expressed concerns about Biden’s campaign focusing too much on defeating Donald Trump instead of speaking about his plans.

“We also have to give people a reason to vote for Joe Biden,” said Sanders. “And Joe has some pretty strong positions on the economy, and I think we should be talking about that more than we have.”

In an interview with PBS on Friday, Sanders said that Biden’s campaign is no “slam dunk” and that there is a chance he could lose to Trump.

Senator Sanders urged Joe Biden to speak more about his policies, such as: raising the minimum wage to $15 dollars, expanding health care coverage and lowering the costs of prescription drugs.

He also encouraged the former Vice President to expand his reach to minorities and young voters.

In response to Sanders’ concerns, Biden’s campaign advisor, Symone Sanders, said, “We are really working to earn every single vote in this country. And we want to earn the votes of the Latino and Hispanic community.”

Senator Sanders expressed his confidence, on PBS,  in progressives to come together to win the White House in November.

“That’s what, in a sense, coalition politics is about. You come together for a common goal,” said Sanders. “The goal is to defeat Trump.”
