CHATTANOOGA (mocsnews.com)- The New England Patriots took a UTC favorite in the NFL draft of 2022. UTC senior and offensive linesman for the Mocs, Cole Strange, was drafted in the first-round of the NFL as the 29th pic. Although his last name is Strange, he’s far from being a strange type of guy.

His plethora of accomplishments include: 1st Team All-SoCon, NFL.com ALL-Combine Team, and Academic All-SoCon awards just to name a few since his time at UTC out of 17 other awards. Strange’s strive has taken him to great heights. He made a statement saying, “Chattanooga has so much to offer, and I’m very appreciative of the opportunities the program provided me to be where I am today. It’s not a surprise to me at all. It’s what hard work is all about,” (UTC Comm. and Marketing).

Cole Strange serves as the 47th student-athlete drafted from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. It all started for Strange in 2016, and ended on a high note as he graduates with this year’s Class of 2022.

Strange is an inspiration to all students that anything is possible with hard work. UTC continues to give amazing opportunities that help students succeed, and live up to the expectations of a professional. It’s a good day to be a Moc!
