This is a Timely Warning regarding a crime that was reported to have occurred on University-owned, controlled, or adjacent property.
On Friday, October 24, 2025, the UTC Police Department received a report of an attempted robbery. The victim, a UTC student, reported that on October 24, 2025, at approximately 1:49 AM, the student was walking on McCallie Avenue near Parking Lot #51 (747 McCallie Avenue). An unknown suspect approached the student and attempted to take the student’s bag. After a brief interaction, the suspect fled the area. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 to 50 years old, about 5’5″ tall, with very short hair. He was last seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.
