From UTC Public Safety
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, at approximately 8:30 AM, the UTC Police Department received a report of a possible Sexual Assault (Sexual Battery). The victim, a UTC student, reported that she was in attendance at an off-campus party that occurred at the Sigma Chi fraternity, Delta Theta chapter house (905 Siskin Drive, Chattanooga, TN, 3703) during the prior night. The victim reported that because of her level of intoxication, an acquaintance – the suspect – offered to drive her back to her on-campus residence hall. The suspect is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim after returning to campus.
The suspect has been identified, and the matter is actively under investigation by the UTC Police Department.
If you have any information about this incident, please call the UTC Police Department at (423) 425-HELP/4357.
