Chattanooga native Dennis Haskins has died at the age of 75. Haskins reportedly died Sunday, September 28, 2026 in Burbank, California.
No official cause of death has been released yet.
Haskins, a Chattanooga native, is best known for his role of Principal Richard Belding in T-V series like Good Morning, Miss Bliss, Saved by the Bell, and Saved by the Bell: The New Class. His catch phrase was “Hey, hey, hey! What’s going on here?”
Haskins was a Chattanooga native. He was graduate of Notre Dame High School and later went to UTC. He was part of the Student Government Association, Ravens Society, and reported for the student paper.
Haskins donated his scripts from Saved by the Bell to the UTC Library archives. He also returned to graduate from UTC in 2016.
