The show follows a group of young teenagers in Hawkins, Indiana as they witness secret government operations, supernatural forces, and mind-boggling mysteries.

“Stranger Things” season 4 finally hit Netflix streaming services Memorial Day weekend after nearly a three-year delay due to COVID. After the long-awaited release of seven new episodes, Netflix says the premiere was record breaking with 287 million hours streamed over the weekend.

“Stranger Things” now holds the record for the largest English-language premier ever on Netflix Streaming services, beating “Bridgerton” and its season two premier of 193 hours.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” will be released in two pieces, with two more finale episodes expected in July before the show ultimately finishes up in season five.

This season feels a little different than before. The episodes are each at least an hour long, and the money that went into filming is more than evident.

“The fourth of the seven episodes just offered was one of the finest hour and seventeen minutes of television I’ve seen in a long time,” writes Erik Kain, Forbes culture contributor.
