Alleged Drink Spiking Reported to Campus Police

This is a Timely Warning regarding a crime that was reported to have occurred on University-owned, controlled, or adjacent property. 

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the UTC Police Department received a report of a possible Aggravated Assault by Poisoning (commonly referred to as “drink spiking”). The victim, a UTC student, was in attendance at an off-campus party that occurred at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house (1117 E 11th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403) on the evening of Friday, September 5, 2025. The victim reported “blacking out” suddenly. The victim’s friends located them in a room after approximately 30 minutes. The victim sought medical evaluation, which determined that they had ingested a strong opioid medication.
