CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The UTC Women’s Basketball team will continue its 2025-26 season, as it was selected to compete in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT). Chattanooga’s first-round opponent in the 32-team event is North Dakota State on Thursday, March 19, in Fargo. The Bison hold the No. 1 seed in Chattanooga’s portion of the bracket. Tip-off is to be determined, while the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
This is the first time that Chattanooga has been selected to the WBIT, which is in its third year of existence. It is the fourth year in a row that the Mocs have been selected for postseason competition: 2023 NCAA Tournament, 2024 NCAA Tournament, 2025 WNIT, 2026 WBIT.
Chattanooga automatically qualified for the WBIT after winning the SoCon Regular Season Championship and earning the No. 1 seed in SoCon Tournament, before falling in the Championship.
