The manager for the rapper Ludacris is now facing a murder charge in Atlanta in relation with a June shooting.
Ludacris’ manager, Ahmed Obafemi, AKA “Chaka Zulu,” turned himself in to the Atlanta Police Department on Tuesday the 13th.
In a statement issued by Gabe Banks, Chaka Zulu’s long-time attorney, Banks states that “It is not lost on Mr. Zulu that someone lost his life, but had Mr. Zulu not lawfully defended himself, Mr. Zulu would have been killed that night.” Zulu was one of three people shot in the Buckhead area on June 26th.
The one fatality of the shooting was 23-year-old Artez Benton. Benton was described by his family as family-dedicated, hard-working, and ambitious.
